The topic of the day’s program was The Digital Public Library of America , a collaboration between Harvard, the Smithsonian, Library of Congress and many others, to digitize and provide access to a vast amount of material and develop a national digital library. Maura Max is Director of the effort and Martin Kalfatovic is Co-chair of the Technical Workstream. Maria Pallante added insight on the copyright implications of such a massive digitization effort.
