The Smithsonian Libraries will offer new, paid internships for the Professional Development Program in the summer of 2014. These internships are open to graduate students interested in working in research and museum libraries. The Libraries will award up to three paid summer internships this academic year.
The Smithsonian Libraries is currently recruiting for four spring internship projects. These are generally part time, unpaid positions and we are happy to work with universities to help students obtain credit. All are unique learning experiences with mentorship and guidance. They are open to grad students, recent graduates and some are open to undergrad students.

The Digital Services Department is happy to announce our first completely ‘virtual’ intern — Cynthia Mari Orozco, who will be working with us as our Latino Publications Intern this August. Her internship, as well as the project she will be working on, is funded by the Smithsonian Latino Center through their Latino Initiatives Pool Fund.
