Tomorrow, December 7th, 2013, marks the 72nd anniversary of the Attack on Pearl Harbor. On that day in 1941, Japanese bombers and other aircraft launched a surprise attack on the U.S.’s Pearl Harbor naval base on Hawaii’s Oahu island. Today is Pearl Harbor Day. The Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History Library has many items in its collections about this fateful day. We included some in our post, Pearl Harbor Day, last year. We’d like to share a few others worth mentioning from the collection this year, as well.
