Come meet us at Teachers’ Night!

Former SIL staff member, Lynne Alstatt, at 2009 Teachers’ Night event.

We are thrilled to participate in this year’s Smithsonian Teachers’ Night! The event, which will mark its 20th Anniversary, will be held this Friday, September 28th, from 7:00 pm to 9:30 pm in the Kogod Courtyard of the Reynolds Center (Smithsonian American Art Museum and National Portrait Gallery).

This year, Smithsonian Libraries will be represented by Robin Everly, botany and horticulture librarian, Kristen Bullard, natural history librarian, and Erin Rushing, digital image librarian. Our table will be stocked with our popular Picturing Words posters, bookmarks representing our various branches and pens. We will also have materials about the Biodiversity Heritage Library and newly renamed Cultural Heritage Library.

We can’t wait to discuss our resources with you! Teachers’ Night is a free event open to all local educators. Visit the website for more information and registration:

Hope to see you there!
