Choice: Current Reviews for Academic Libraries has named Library and Archive Exhibitions on the Web as an "Editor's Pick" in their August 2010 issue. The review in part reads,
This Smithsonian site is the best listing available for digital exhibits … Diane Shaw (Smithsonian Institution Libraries), the sole maintainer, is very responsive to suggestions for sites to be included. The listings are well cataloged, with extensive subject categorization, and they seem to be actively monitored, with few dead links found.
Diane Shaw has maintained the site since 1998. Mario Rups and other staff in the Catalog Services Division of Smithsonian Libraries will begin helping with the project later in July.
