The Libraries’ Cooper-Hewitt, National Design Museum Library is offering an opportunity for friends and supporters to connect through Amazon.com! Through the Cooper-Hewitt Library Wish List, anyone can contribute to the library’s collection by purchasing from a selection of books. Titles are all tax deductible and will be sent directly to the library. Please buy only new books through Amazon (no third party vendors). If you would like an acknowledgement letter and a donor note included within the library’s catalog, supply your name and email address in the gift note section during Checkout. Check “ordering a gift” following shipping options to access the gift note.
Help jumpstart the Wish List program! Purchase a title by June 15 for a chance to win a $100 gift certificate to The Shop at Cooper-Hewitt. Include your name and email address in the gift note field. Alternatively, you may email your name directly to cohlmanj@si.edu—no purchase is necessary.
The Cooper-Hewitt Library boasts an extensive collection of over 85,000 volumes, providing a rich resource for students, curators, writers, collectors and others interested in design, architecture and the decorative arts throughout the world. The collections can be found in the Libraries’ online catalog, SIRIS. Contact the library to learn more about collections, services and how to make an appointment. You may also find the library’s digitized collections, such as Caldwell & Co., a great resource.—Liz O'Brien
