Fall 2015 Internship Opportunities

Freer and Sackler Galleries LibrariesThe Smithsonian Libraries is pleased to announce two opportunities for Fall 2015 internships. Each project offers a unique learning experience that would benefit any student interested in library work. For students in undergrad or graduate library and information science programs, we are happy to work with universities to help students obtain academic credit or fulfill practicum requirements. These projects are particularly well suited for students with enthusiasm for instructional design or collections management. Applications will be collected until July 27 or until filled.

Applications open for Summer 2015 General Internship Program

Smithsonian Libraries Announces 2014 Professional Development Internships

The Smithsonian Libraries will offer new, paid internships for the Professional Development Program in the summer of 2014. These internships are open to graduate students interested in working in research and museum libraries. The Libraries will award up to three paid summer internships this academic year.

Spring Internships at the Smithsonian Libraries

These are generally part time, unpaid positions and we are happy to work with universities to help students obtain credit. All are unique learning experiences with mentorship and guidance. They are open to grad students, recent graduates and some are open to undergrad students.
